Vignette#11: A few years ago, I met a man with dementia who was an amateur inventor of things. He told me and the other artist who was involved in the project about his summer sleigh on wheels, and about the hat that would always keep it’s wearer cool. His lucid moments were immediately followed by very foggy ones, but he always tried to go on and to find the words to talk about machines and what they meant to him. After talking to him a few times, I wrote the piece „Machine Fever“ and dedicated it to him #machinefever #fenderrhodes #musiccomposition #artproject #nursinghome #jazzatthenursinghome
